Job Description

This role involves assessing the creditworthiness of potential borrowers to ensure that all proposed credit risks are advantageous for both the client and the Bank, while also being profitable and adhering to relevant policies and regulations. The analyst will contribute value to credit proposals by offering advice and techniques to mitigate risks for bankable credits.

Key Responsibilities

  4. Identify credit risks and propose effective mitigation measures.
  5. Validate credit scoring models and ensure proposed facility pricing aligns with these models.
  6. Progress files with recommended decisions for approval or return them to relationship managers for missing information.
  7. Review temporary accommodations, ensuring supporting documents are attached, requests are justified, and properly priced.
  8. Process variations for approved loans, verifying documentation and ensuring the variation does not materially alter the original proposal.
  9. Organize Credit Approval Committee (CAC) meetings, communicate invites, present previous minutes, follow up on action points, and take meeting minutes.
  10. Present summaries of Credit Analysis unit's decisions for further deliberations.
  11. Coordinate responses to Senior Credit Committee queries on locally approved files and conduct periodic follow-ups on files pending Head Office approval.
  12. Justify and defend local credit committee decisions.
  13. Review various documents to ensure approval covenants are comprehensively documented.
  14. Review draft letters of offer for sanctioned facilities and valuation reports for approved collaterals.
  15. Conduct customer call visits with the Business Team to independently assess business capacity, financing needs, and compliance with environmental and social risks.
  16. Independently review the progress of borrower projects financed by the Bank.
