Card Issuing Portfolio Manager

The Card Issuing Portfolio Manager is responsible for strategically planning, developing, and executing card issuing products and technology solutions throughout the card value chain. This position focuses on driving innovation and modernization initiatives for card products, requiring close collaboration with various internal stakeholders including Technology, Operations, Fraud, Collections, Customer Experience, and Marketing. The manager is tasked with ensuring successful project delivery, optimizing product performance, and providing strategic insights to support the bank's business objectives and growth in the card issuing sector.

1. Plan, develop, and implement card issuing products and technology solutions across the card value chain.
2. Drive card product innovation and modernization initiatives.
3. Collaborate with Technology, Operations, Fraud, Collections, Customer Experience, Marketing, and other key stakeholders.
4. Ensure successful project delivery for card-related initiatives.
5. Optimize the performance of card products.
6. Provide strategic insights to support business objectives and growth in the card issuing sector.

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Banking, Business, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience within the financial services industry, with a strong focus on card issuing and card products.
3. Demonstrated experience in card product development and product management.
4. Experience leading card modernization, digital transformation, or payment-related projects.
5. Strong understanding of card operations, technology platforms, fraud management, and customer servicing environments.
6. Proven ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders including Technology, Operations, Marketing, Fraud, Collections, and executive leadership teams.
7. Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum, or equivalent) is preferred.
8. Visa/Mastercard Card and Payments industry certifications are preferred.
9. Business Analysis certification is preferred.
10. Product Management certification is preferred.
11. Strong behavioural competencies including adopting practical approaches, convincing people, developing strategies, establishing rapport, exploring possibilities, showing composure, and team working.
12. Proficiency in technical competencies such as Card Issuing and Card Product Management, Product Development and Innovation, IT Business Analysis and Requirements Management, Technical Analysis and Solution Design, Project and Programme Management, Quality Assurance, and Quality Control.
