Full Stack Engineer

WAW Group is an AI-powered technology company that provides vehicle tracking, telematics, and fleet management solutions for the transport and logistics industry.

This Senior Full-Stack Engineer role requires a highly capable individual proficient in TypeScript, Next.js, and full-stack application development. The successful candidate will manage the entire software lifecycle, encompassing planning, development, testing, deployment, monitoring, and production support. It is a hands-on position focused on building robust features and ensuring their successful deployment and ongoing maintenance in a live environment.

1. Design, develop, and maintain web applications utilizing Next.js and TypeScript.
2. Create responsive, accessible, and user-friendly interfaces.
3. Develop backend APIs and business logic using Node.js, TypeScript, and frameworks like Fastify.
4. Design and manage PostgreSQL databases, employing Prisma ORM.
5. Integrate various third-party APIs, GPS tracking platforms, IoT services, and other external systems.
6. Implement secure authentication, authorization, and multi-tenant access controls.
7. Manage background jobs, queues, caching, and scheduled processes using Redis and related technologies.
8. Produce clean, maintainable, well-documented, and thoroughly tested code.
9. Review and enhance existing systems to improve performance, reliability, and security.
10. Write and maintain unit, integration, and end-to-end tests.
11. Containerize applications using Docker and deploy them to Linux servers and cloud infrastructure.
12. Configure and maintain reverse proxies, domains, SSL certificates, and application environments.
13. Support CI/CD workflows and contribute to deployment automation improvements.
14. Monitor production applications, investigate errors, and resolve technical incidents.
15. Collaborate with product, operations, and management teams to translate business requirements into practical software solutions.
16. Participate in code reviews and contribute to technical decision-making.
17. Take full ownership of assigned features from initial planning through to production deployment.

1. A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in software development.
2. Strong practical experience with TypeScript, React, and Next.js.
3. Proven experience in developing both frontend applications and backend APIs.
4. Solid understanding of Node.js and modern server-side development practices.
5. Experience with PostgreSQL, including database design, migrations, indexing, and query optimization.
6. Proficiency in using Git and collaborative development workflows.
7. Capability to deploy and manage applications effectively in production environments.
8. Working knowledge of Docker, Linux servers, environment variables, domains, and SSL configuration.
9. Understanding of authentication, authorization, API security, and data protection principles.
10. Experience integrating third-party APIs and troubleshooting related issues.
11. Ability to diagnose production problems using logs, monitoring tools, and systematic testing.
12. Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to work with limited supervision.
13. Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
14. Experience with Fastify and Prisma ORM is preferred.
15. Experience building multi-tenant SaaS platforms is a plus.
16. Familiarity with Redis, queues, workers, or scheduled jobs is advantageous.
17. Experience with GPS tracking, telematics, IoT, logistics, or fleet-management systems is desirable.
18. Experience integrating mapping, location, or real-time data services is a plus.
19. Familiarity with Wialon or other fleet-management platforms is beneficial.
20. Experience configuring Traefik, Nginx, or similar reverse proxies is preferred.
21. Experience setting up CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments is a plus.
22. Knowledge of application monitoring, backups, server security, and disaster recovery is desirable.
23. Experience working with large datasets, dashboards, analytics, or reporting systems is beneficial.
24. Familiarity with progressive web applications is a plus.
