Job Description
The Client Coverage Vice President for the Chinese Segment at Stanbic Bank Kenya is responsible for the comprehensive management and expansion of the bank's portfolio within the Chinese client segment. This senior role involves cultivating and maintaining strong internal relationships across the entire client engagement lifecycle. The successful candidate will ensure that client needs are met, proactively manage associated risks, and deliver an exceptional client experience, all while contributing significantly to the achievement of defined revenue targets. The role also entails acting as a trusted advisor, strategically influencing project timelines and client expectations, and facilitating cross-departmental negotiations to coordinate the origination and execution of tailored, client-centric financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and expand the bank's client portfolio within the Chinese segment.
- Cultivate and maintain strong internal relationships across the client engagement value chain.
- Ensure the fulfillment of client needs and expectations.
- Proactively manage and mitigate risks associated with the client portfolio.
- Deliver an exceptional and consistent client experience.
- Contribute directly to achieving and exceeding defined revenue targets.
- Act as a trusted advisor, influencing project timelines and client expectations.
- Engage in proactive negotiation across various internal departments.
- Coordinate the origination and execution of client-centric financial solutions.
Requirements
- Hold a First Degree in Business Commerce, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.
- Possess 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
- Demonstrate a proven track record in conducting, collating, and reviewing detailed financial and/or valuation analysis for client engagements.
- Exhibit an advanced understanding of Client Coverage capabilities and a developing understanding of the overall Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) landscape and competitive environment.
- Have prior experience in commercial or corporate banking.
- Show proficient experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive client-centric solutions, enhance portfolio revenue, and ensure a comprehensive client experience.
- Possess experience in risk management, including fulfilling the role of "first line of defence."
- Have experience leading client engagement at senior management and executive levels.
- Be a native Chinese speaker.
- Possess strong business development skills.
- Demonstrate effective client retention abilities.
- Exhibit comprehensive client knowledge and servicing skills.
- Be proficient in data analysis.
- Possess strong financial analysis capabilities.
