Maintenance Intern

Synnefa is a company dedicated to creating sustainable solutions for farmers by providing affordable modern farming technologies to enhance efficiency and boost production. They partner with farmers to help them focus on farming while Synnefa handles the technological aspects.

The Maintenance Intern will play a crucial role in supporting field operations, including installations, routine maintenance, inspections, and commissioning activities, all under direct supervision. Responsibilities also involve conducting site surveys, completing necessary pre-site documentation, checklists, and installation readiness records. The intern will be responsible for maintaining detailed logs of maintenance activities, fault registers, SLA trackers, installation records, and service reports. Additionally, they will collect and organize operational data and field readings, utilizing Microsoft Excel to update trackers and generate basic summaries. The role also includes assisting with troubleshooting by gathering fault information, performing approved basic checks, and promptly escalating complex issues.

1. Assist with field installations, routine maintenance, inspections, and commissioning under supervision.
2. Support site surveys and complete pre-site forms, checklists, and installation readiness records.
3. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, fault registers, SLA trackers, installation records, and service reports.
4. Collect and organize field readings and operational data, using Excel to update trackers and prepare basic summaries.
5. Support troubleshooting by gathering fault information, carrying out approved basic checks, and escalating issues promptly.

1. Hold a Diploma or Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
2. Possess 0-1 year of experience, with hands-on project experience being an advantage.
3. Have a valid driving license.
4. Be competent in Microsoft Excel and Word, demonstrating accurate data entry and technical documentation skills.
5. Be willing to travel to field sites and work outdoors.
6. Exhibit practical, hands-on, and organized qualities, with attention to detail and a safety-first approach.
7. Be capable of completing routine assignments reliably with minimal supervision and escalating issues beyond competence.
8. Show interest in solar or renewable energy, agri-tech, IoT, electrical installations, or equipment maintenance.
