Job Description
The Finance Business Partner is a key strategic role, providing financial input for line of service strategy, annual plans, budgets, and forecasts across different business units and countries. The role involves maintaining a strategy and KPI tracker, highlighting areas needing leadership intervention, and preparing weekly, monthly, and quarterly management insights on key financial metrics like net revenue, production, utilization, and engagement margin. This position translates performance movements into business implications, offering options and recommended actions, and conducts deep dives into country, business-unit, or thematic areas as requested. It also involves analyzing pipeline, secured work, win targets, and trends, supporting opportunity pricing and engagement budgeting, and coordinating finance input for bids and multi-country opportunities while escalating complex matters to specialists. The role provides leadership with scenario analysis on revenue conversion, capacity, cost, and margin, and acts as the primary finance advisor on project and contract setup, billing, WIP valuation, and general NIC management. It monitors material engagements for commercial milestones and identifies execution, revenue recognition, margin, billing, or recoverability risks. The role drives timely and correct job-code opening for local and cross-border engagements, ensures consistent accounting and reporting, and provides disciplined oversight of billings, collections, debtors, WIP, and write-offs. It analyzes actual billings and collections against targets, partners with leaders to improve the engagement-to-cash cycle, and uses dashboards to focus leadership attention on critical balances and actions. The position builds effective relationships with various stakeholders, coordinates regional allocations and inter-territory balances, applies finance policies and controls, and supports business reviews and leadership forums with reconciled analysis. It also identifies opportunities for process simplification and automation, presents concise financial narratives, constructively challenges business assumptions, and provides practical guidance and training. Finally, it oversees and coordinates project-support activities within the assigned portfolio.
