BURN is seeking a Traffic & Creative Operations Intern to assist the Head of Traffic in managing creative and marketing projects from initial brief to final delivery. This hands-on role involves daily project tracking, follow-ups, and documentation, along with conducting initial quality checks on creative outputs before they proceed to review. It offers an excellent opportunity for an organized and detail-oriented individual to gain insight into the operational aspects of a creative team, spanning Brand, Product, Carbon, and Digital marketing.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain daily updates on the project tracking board, ensuring each job has a clear status, owner, and deadline.
- Follow up with stakeholders regarding outstanding feedback, approvals, and missing inputs.
- Monitor progress with designers and copywriters, flagging any potential delays.
- Provide the Head of Traffic with a concise end-of-day update on project movements, blockers, and priorities.
- Verify incoming briefs against a standard checklist, including market, format, sizes, deadline, copy, and approver.
- Request any missing information from requesters before briefs are assigned.
- Log new requests in the tracker and attach all relevant materials.
- Conduct initial reviews of creative assets for typos, correct sizes, specifications, current logos, and required legal lines.
- Confirm that market-specific versions contain the correct language, pricing, and local details.
- Batch work for review at scheduled times, ensuring each piece is accompanied by its brief.
- Translate review feedback into clear action lists for the creative team and confirm all points are addressed in subsequent versions.
- Document notes from WIPs, stand-ups, and stakeholder check-ins, then circulate decisions and action points.
- Organize final files by market and product, adhering to naming conventions and version control standards.
- Maintain comprehensive records of briefs, approvals, and project timelines.
- Compile weekly summaries of completed jobs, overdue tasks, and turnaround times.
- Assist in preparing data for traffic reports and capacity discussions.
Requirements
- A recent graduate or final-year student in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field.
- Highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Possesses clear and confident written and verbal communication skills, comfortable with polite but persistent follow-ups.
- Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office; familiarity with project management tools like ClickUp, Asana, or Trello is a plus.
- Demonstrates an interest in creative work, marketing, or operations.
- Capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously and maintaining composure under deadline pressure.
