Job Description
Reporting to the Head of Operations, the Flight Operations Manager is responsible for the safe and efficient functioning of the flight operations department.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all aircraft operation licences and documentation are valid and current.
- Obtain Police, Department of Defence, diplomatic, and other operational clearances.
- Liaise with government bodies concerning aircraft operations.
- Maintain discipline, welfare, and morale of flight operations officers and ground handling staff.
- Supervise administration and ensure operational efficiency in compliance with statutory and internal standards.
- Maintain proper flight operations records.
- Assign crews and prepare flight schedules with the Crew Scheduling Officer.
- Ensure contractual requirements relating to aircraft and crew are met.
- Serve as the company’s Dangerous Goods Coordinator.
Requirements
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Operations Manager in a commercial air transport organization.
- Computer literacy required.
- Completion of a Flight Dispatcher’s course.
- Thorough knowledge of KCAA and ICAO regulations.
- Strong leadership and crisis management skills.
- Strong resource management and operational coordination abilities.
