Technical Architect End User Services

The Technical Architect for End User Services is responsible for designing and architecting comprehensive end-user computing solutions that meet business objectives, with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance. This role requires close collaboration with stakeholders to gather business requirements, understand end-user computing needs, and propose suitable technical solutions. The architect will assess and recommend optimal end-user computing platforms and tools, and develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including solution architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans. A key aspect of the role is to analyze and recommend long-term strategic plans to ensure end-user computing tools continuously meet current and future requirements. The architect will serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, offering technical guidance to development teams during the implementation of end-user compute solutions. This position also involves providing pre-sales technical support, analyzing client requirements, and ensuring proposed solutions effectively achieve client objectives. The architect will work with internal stakeholders to produce technical specifications for custom development and system integration, and develop technical design documents that align with solution design specifications. Responsibilities extend to participating in or leading scope of work determination, product pricing, and responses to RFPs/RFIs, as well as assisting with outsourcing decisions and collaborating on implementation solutions. The role also includes integrating end-user computing platforms with existing enterprise systems to ensure seamless data exchange and interoperability. The architect will influence and guide the sales team, maintaining visibility of forecasting and sales pipelines, and manage client proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, including resource involvement, setup, and delivery. Ensuring compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and organizational security policies in the design and implementation of end-user computing solutions is critical. The architect owns the proposed solution and transitions the build/implementation to the delivery team. During opportunity pursuit, this role evaluates alignment with organizational capabilities, prepares executive summaries, documents proposed technology solutions and statements of work, collaborates on pricing, performs solution design, manages proof-of-concepts, engages technical resources, prepares solution diagrams, documents deliverables, reviews final parts lists, and assists in client presentations.

1. Design and architect end-user computing solutions, considering scalability, security, and performance requirements.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and propose appropriate technical solutions.
3. Assess and recommend end-user computing platforms and tools.
4. Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution architecture diagrams and implementation plans.
5. Analyze and recommend long-term strategic plans for end-user computing tools.

7. Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise, analyzing client requirements and current capabilities.
8. Ensure technical solutions meet client objectives.

10. Develop technical design documents matching solution design specifications.
11. Participate in or lead scope of work determination, product pricing, and RFP/RFI responses.
12. Assist with outsourcing determination and collaborate on implementation solutions.
13. Integrate end-user computing platforms with existing enterprise systems for seamless data exchange.
14. Influence and guide the sales team, maintaining visibility of forecasting and sales pipeline.
15. Manage client proof-of-concept (POC) initiatives, including resource involvement, setup, and delivery.
16. Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and security policies.
17. Own proposed solutions and transition build/implementation to the delivery team.

19. Prepare executive summaries, document proposed technology solutions, and statements of work.
20. Collaborate with internal stakeholders on pricing formats and prepare parts lists.
21. Develop and manage proof-of-concepts as required.
22. Engage all necessary technical resources for accurate solution design.
23. Prepare solution diagrams and document all deliverables.
24. Verify proposal accuracy and sign off on final documents for client presentation.
25. Assist during final client presentations.

1. Seasoned client engagement skills coupled with strong technical consulting abilities.
2. Understanding of vendor product business and technology positioning.
3. In-depth knowledge of end-user computing platforms such as Microsoft Modern Workplace, Security, Compliance, and Infrastructure technologies, including Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, Intune, Entra ID, Defender XDR, Purview, Azure, Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, Windows Server, Windows Client, and hybrid identity solutions.
4. Strong understanding of ManageEngine and Mimecast solutions, including Endpoint Management, IT Service Management (ITSM), Privileged Access Management (PAM), Security Operations, Email Security, Data Protection, Governance, and Compliance platforms.
5. Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members.
6. Broad product knowledge integrated with technology understanding.
7. Understanding of network protocols, topologies, and security.
8. Seasoned understanding of system and software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
9. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
10. Familiarity with security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements.
11. Understanding of how end-user compute platforms integrate with other enterprise systems (e.g., Active Directory, ERP, CRM).
12. Knowledge of APIs, web services, and data exchange protocols for seamless integration.
13. Understanding of user access controls, encryption, data loss prevention, and other security measures.
14. Basic understanding of key vendor subscription models such as Microsoft EA and LSP program.
15. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
16. Certification and working knowledge of relevant Microsoft certifications aligned to Microsoft Solution Partner Designations (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate).
17. Vendor product, sales, and technology certifications (e.g., Mimecast, ManageEngine).
18. Additional Industry Certifications (advantageous): ITIL, TOGAF.
19. Seasoned professional technical experience within a large-scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment.
20. Seasoned experience as an End-user computing Technical Architect or a similar role, designing enterprise-level network solutions.
21. Seasoned experience in a professional technical role.
22. Experience with integration and interoperability between end-user computing platforms and other enterprise systems.
23. Experience in project management methodologies (advantageous).
