Deadline: Jan 02, 2027About the Company
RIANA Group is a conglomerate that aims to elevate its brand voice and communications strategy across its portfolio of companies, including Marezi, SecuViz, and USS. The group operates regionally, shaping the positioning of its brands within the wider RIANA ecosystem.
Job Description
RIANA Group is seeking a Marketing & Communications Lead to enhance its brand presence and communication strategy across the group and its diverse portfolio of companies, including Marezi, SecuViz, and USS. This position involves leading marketing efforts regionally, defining how each brand is positioned individually and within the broader RIANA ecosystem in Kenya and other operational countries. A key aspect of this role is the complete ownership of event management, from initial concept and planning to speaker and vendor coordination, and on-the-day execution, as events are crucial for client and market engagement. While dedicated teams handle SEO and social media, this role is responsible for integrating these functions into a cohesive communication strategy, requiring a willingness to execute tasks directly rather than solely directing others.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communications strategies for RIANA Group and its subsidiary brands (Marezi, SecuViz, USS) across all operational regions.
- Manage all aspects of event planning and execution, from initial concept and securing speakers/vendors to full implementation and post-event follow-up.
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and management to the marketing team, ensuring clear priorities and consistent delivery of objectives.
- Integrate and align the efforts of existing SEO and social media teams into a unified communications strategy, actively participating in execution when necessary.
- Oversee and maintain consistent brand positioning and messaging across all group companies, respecting each brand's unique identity.
- Direct content creation for digital channels, marketing collateral, and client-facing materials.
- Collaborate with sales and business unit leaders (Marezi, USS, etc.) to ensure marketing initiatives support commercial goals.
- Monitor and report on marketing performance and event outcomes across various channels and regions.
- Cultivate and manage relationships with external vendors, agencies, speakers, and media partners.
- Administer the marketing budget and provide ROI analysis for campaigns and events.
Requirements
- Possess a minimum of 3–4 years of experience in a marketing leadership role.
- Demonstrate strong proficiency in both written and verbal communication.
- Proven capability to effectively manage multiple projects, teams, and stakeholders concurrently.
- Experience in formulating marketing strategy and translating it into actionable, measurable execution plans.
- Exhibit a proactive, hands-on approach, comfortable with both team direction and direct execution when required.
- Comfortable operating across diverse markets and regions.
- (Nice-to-Have) Experience marketing multiple brands or business units under a single parent company.
- (Nice-to-Have) Familiarity with technology, security, or customer experience solutions sectors.
- (Nice-to-Have) Experience working with or marketing to clients in healthcare, finance, education, hospitality, or real estate.
- (Nice-to-Have) Prior experience in budget management.
