Job Description

The Corporate Sales Executive is responsible for achieving sustainable business growth by actively acquiring new clients, developing and managing assigned distribution channels and target markets, and ensuring the retention and expansion of existing policies and accounts across the product portfolio. Key responsibilities include identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, cultivating strong relationships with clients, intermediaries, and other stakeholders, and meeting agreed sales, revenue, profitability, and retention targets. The role also involves supporting the development and execution of sales and distribution strategies, increasing product penetration through cross-selling and upselling, monitoring market and competitor trends, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure effective client onboarding, servicing, and overall customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement strategic initiatives as directed by your supervisor.
  2. Adhere to company-wide processes and procedures.
  3. Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with assigned intermediaries and partners.
  4. Ensure regular and adequate training for assigned intermediaries on markets, products, and associated processes.
  5. Support assigned intermediaries in conducting on-ground activities to build a robust prospect list.
  6. Develop, grow, and maintain a sales pipeline, providing weekly reports to your supervisor.
  7. Assist assigned intermediaries with prospect/client presentations and sales closures.
  8. Communicate and actively promote approved sales competitions and incentives to assigned intermediaries.
  9. Verify that intermediaries and partners receive their commissions and incentives fully and on time.
  10. Acquire new business through assigned distribution channels and intermediaries.
  11. Identify cross-selling and up-selling opportunities for assigned products within other Britam business development teams.
  12. Increase the productivity and number of assigned intermediaries or partners regularly selling your products.
  13. Participate in the introduction and promotion of new products.
  14. Contribute to the formulation of the department’s strategic and operational plans.
  15. Prepare monthly performance reports for your supervisor.
  16. Perform other duties as assigned, adhering to the Delegated Authority Matrix.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a business-related field.
  2. Professional qualification in Insurance (e.g., CoP, ACII, IIK).
  3. 2-4 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry.
  4. Knowledge of insurance regulatory requirements.
  5. Knowledge of insurance products.
  6. Strong sales and marketing management skills.
