Trade Development Representative (TDR)

A prominent telecommunications company focused on providing innovative communication services and solutions across various regions.

This role involves driving channel visitations to enhance retailer engagement and boost sales of SIMs and Float. The representative will also be responsible for optimizing visibility and merchandising efforts at various points of purchase, including SSOs and T-Kash agent locations, to maximize product presence and sales.

1. Identify and recruit new Agents and SSOs, specifically targeting mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.
2. Conduct regular visits to SSOs and Agents following agreed-upon route plans.
3. Provide necessary business tools for transactions at SSO and agent outlets and train them on operational processes.
4. Deliver training on Anti-Money Laundering (AML) to agents and Know Your Customer (KYC) processes for SIM registration to SSOs.
5. Monitor and enforce a 1.5x stock rule for agents, ensuring SSOs maintain adequate stock of SIMs for new registrations and activations.
6. Develop and maintain merchandising standards by ensuring merchandising materials are available and properly displayed at SSOs and Agent outlets.

1. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
2. At least 1 year of experience in a sales and distribution role, preferably within the FMCG or Telco sectors.
3. Strong customer focus and dedication to service.
4. Proven influencing and negotiation skills.
5. Ability to network and build effective partnerships.
6. Good analytical thinking capabilities.
