Job Description
The Warehouse Clerk will primarily support the Site Lead and Inventory Controller in ensuring the smooth operation of the warehouse. This involves executing daily warehouse tasks specifically for the Menengai account, focusing on achieving targets related to daily receipts, accurate stock posting, efficient put-away processes, proper storage, and maintaining high safety standards within the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily briefings and debriefings before starting operations.
- Receive goods, verifying their condition and quantity from suppliers, and ensure proper sign-off by drivers and security.
- Perform real-time data entry of received stock into the Warehouse Management System (JDA) upon confirmation.
- Manage product handling, picking, storage, and maintain stock integrity.
- Monitor and control stock loss, providing explanations for any non-conformities or variances to the Site Lead for investigation.
- Regulate access to the warehouse for non-warehouse personnel.
- Ensure product quality standards are upheld in all warehouse zones and that the WMS system accurately reflects physical storage quantities.
- Maintain clear and precise records for daily reports, productivity metrics, warehouse resource lists, and general filing.
- Uphold safety standards across all workstations, aiming for zero lost-time accidents.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management.
- Possess a minimum of four years of proven experience in warehouse operations.
- A Diploma in a Supply Chain related field is also required.
- Be proficient in using Microsoft Excel.
- Competency with JDA WMS is considered an advantage.
- Have familiarity with various warehouse systems and other logistics software.
- Demonstrate excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Exhibit strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Be capable of working effectively under pressure and meeting strict deadlines.
- Possess an analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
