Job Description

The Financial Analyst will play a crucial role in supporting leadership to drive financial sustainability, growth, stewardship, and operational excellence. This will be achieved through the application of data-driven insights, financial modeling, forecasting, and comprehensive investment evaluation. The position reports directly to the Director for Administration.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Monitor and analyze financial performance against budgets and strategic plans, providing monthly operational insights.
  2. Conduct business performance analysis to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for revenue growth and cost optimization.
  3. Develop and maintain KPI dashboards and reports to track organizational and program performance.
  4. Evaluate investment opportunities through feasibility studies, ROI analysis, and financial due diligence.
  5. Manage and monitor investment portfolios, recommending strategies to optimize returns and mitigate risk.
  6. Provide strategic financial advisory to leadership on resource allocation, investment prioritization, and organizational growth initiatives.
  7. Identify, assess, and mitigate financial and operational risks while strengthening risk management frameworks.
  8. Leverage data analytics, automation, and emerging technologies (including AI) to enhance financial reporting and decision-making.
  9. Evaluate policy effectiveness, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the development and implementation of improved financial and operational policies.

Requirements

  1. Must be a born-again, mature Christian who conforms to the CITAM statement of faith.
  2. Hold a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Actuarial Science, Statistics, Business Administration, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  3. Professional qualification such as CPA(K), ACCA, or an equivalent certification is an added advantage.
  4. Possess a minimum of 6 years’ experience in a financial analyst, investment analysis, business analysis, or a similar role.
  5. Demonstrate strong knowledge of financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and investment evaluation techniques.
  6. Have proven experience in business performance analysis and strategic financial planning.
  7. Be advanced proficient in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems, Power BI, and other financial analysis tools.
  8. Exhibit strong analytical, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  9. Possess excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  10. Have the ability to translate complex financial information into actionable business insights.
  11. Show knowledge of AI technologies and their application in financial analysis.
