WATER & SANITATION ENGINEER

Howard Humphreys Consulting Engineers is an engineering firm that plans, designs, and supervises water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects across Kenya.

Howard Humphreys Consulting Engineers is recruiting an experienced Water & Sanitation Engineer to join its engineering team. The successful candidate will participate in the planning, design and supervision of water supply and sewerage infrastructure projects across Kenya. The role requires an experienced engineer capable of coordinating with clients, contractors and project stakeholders while ensuring projects meet engineering standards, regulatory requirements and quality expectations.

1. Design water supply, sewerage and sanitation infrastructure projects using industry best practices.
2. Supervise construction works on project sites to ensure compliance with engineering specifications.
3. Review engineering drawings, technical reports and project documentation before implementation.
4. Coordinate project activities with contractors, consultants, government agencies and clients.
5. Monitor project quality, timelines and budgets throughout implementation.
6. Conduct inspections, technical assessments and site evaluations.
7. Prepare engineering reports and recommendations for project management.
8. Ensure compliance with Engineers Board of Kenya regulations and applicable engineering standards.

1. Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an EBK accredited institution.
2. Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
3. Minimum ten (10) years of practical experience in water and sanitation engineering projects.
4. Strong working knowledge of Civil3D and other engineering design software.
5. Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
6. Good understanding of construction materials, methodologies and project supervision.
7. Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
