Job Description
This role involves assisting in the planning, coordination, and monitoring of various project activities. The Project Assistant will be responsible for preparing and maintaining project schedules, reports, and documentation. Key duties include organizing meetings, preparing agendas, taking minutes, and following up on action items. The successful candidate will also track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones, maintain accurate project records, files, and databases, and coordinate communication among project team members, clients, and stakeholders. This is a 1-year contract with a possibility of extension, with a desired start as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities
- Prepare and maintain project schedules, reports, and documentation
- Organize meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on action items
- Track project timelines, deliverables, and milestones
- Maintain accurate project records, files, and databases
- Coordinate communication between project team members, clients, and stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Project Management, Agriculture, Agricultural Economics, Public Policy, Development Studies, or a related field
- Previous experience in project coordination or administrative support is an advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Familiarity with project management software is desirable
- Preference will be given to candidates with experience in NGOs
