Security Systems Engineer

The Security Systems Engineer will be a highly skilled and experienced member of the technical team, responsible for the complete lifecycle of advanced electronic security systems at client sites. This includes designing, installing, configuring, testing, commissioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and supporting various systems such as CCTV, Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Structured Cabling, and integrated solutions like barriers, gate automation, turnstiles, and bollards. The role is crucial for safeguarding client environments by delivering reliable, innovative, and compliant security solutions, ensuring systems are deployed to high standards, remain operational, and provide long-term value.

1. Design, install, configure, test, and commission CCTV surveillance systems, including IP cameras, NVRs, DVRs, VMS, and related equipment.
2. Implement and maintain access control systems, such as biometric and card readers, controllers, locks, and sensors.
3. Deploy and support intrusion detection systems, including control panels, detectors, sirens, and peripherals.
4. Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on various security systems.
5. Diagnose and resolve faults related to hardware, software, network, power, and communication.
6. Configure and troubleshoot IP addresses, switches, Power over Ethernet (PoE), VLANs, and other network components for security systems.
7. Conduct site surveys and contribute to the preparation of technical proposals, bills of quantities, and equipment specifications.
8. Ensure all installations adhere to approved designs, specifications, and industry standards.
9. Integrate diverse security platforms like CCTV, access control, and alarms into unified solutions.
10. Prepare comprehensive technical documentation, including installation, maintenance, service, and handover reports.
11. Offer professional technical support and user training to clients.

1. Hold a Diploma or Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, ICT, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Security Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
2. Possess 2–5 years of relevant experience in the installation and maintenance of electronic security systems.
3. Demonstrate essential practical experience with CCTV and Access Control systems.
4. Have strong knowledge of IP networking, TCP/IP, Power over Ethernet (PoE), switches, VLANs, and structured cabling.
5. Experience with fibre and copper cabling is an added advantage.
6. Be able to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and network diagrams.
7. Exhibit strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
8. Capable of working independently, meeting deadlines, and effectively responding to client support needs.
