About the Company

Moyee Coffee is a FairChain coffee company that roasts coffee at its origin in Ethiopia and Kenya. They sell directly to customers in Europe and operate a roastery and café in Nairobi, focusing on keeping value where the coffee grows.

Job Description

The Digital Growth Expert & Online Business Owner will take full ownership of Moyee Coffee's online business in Kenya, managing the Odoo website and webshop from end-to-end. This includes overseeing content, products, pricing, promotions, and the entire sales flow, with a specific focus on integrating local Kenyan payment methods and delivery options. The role also entails running the local growth calendar, developing campaigns, offers, and launches linked to the café, roastery, and microlot program, and building subscription and repeat purchase models tailored for the Kenyan audience, with Kenya online revenue as a key performance indicator. Additionally, the expert will contribute to the European growth team by optimizing paid campaigns across Google Search, Display, and Meta, enhancing CRM and lifecycle flows within Odoo, and improving conversion rates on the European webshop through landing page, product page, checkout, and account flow optimizations. A crucial aspect of this position is to operate a 'laboratory' by conducting weekly tests on the Kenya shop, documenting outcomes, and transferring proven improvements to the European shop at least quarterly. This is a hands-on role, not focused on agency management, pure strategy, or content creation, but on direct building and optimization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Own the Kenya webshop end-to-end, including its structure, content, products, pricing, and promotions.
  2. Design and build mobile-first pages using Odoo Website Builder, optimized for Kenyan customers and networks.
  3. Manage the entire sales flow from product page to confirmation, incorporating local payment methods and delivery options.
  4. Run the local growth calendar, connecting campaigns, offers, and launches to the café, roastery, and microlot program.
  5. Develop subscription and repeat purchase strategies specifically for a Kenyan audience.
  6. Be accountable for Kenya online revenue targets.
  7. Run and optimize paid campaigns (Google Search, Display, Meta) in collaboration with the paid specialist for Europe.
  8. Build and improve CRM and lifecycle flows in Odoo for welcome, repeat purchase, winback, and subscription journeys in Europe.
  9. Own conversion optimization on the European webshop, focusing on landing pages, product pages, checkout, and account flows.
  10. Support new market launches in Europe with effective campaigns and pages.
  11. Build dashboards that connect Odoo, Google Ads, and Meta to ensure consistent performance tracking.
  12. Conduct one deliberate test per week on the Kenya shop, documenting results and decisions.
  13. Maintain a living playbook of tested strategies, wins, and recommendations for Europe.
  14. Propose and implement transfers, aiming for at least one Kenya-proven improvement to go live on the European shop per quarter.

Requirements

  1. Deep, hands-on experience with Odoo Website and eCommerce, including building and styling pages, templates, product configuration, payment providers, and sales flows.
  2. Proven experience in running growth initiatives, having personally managed paid campaigns (Google/Meta) and email/CRM flows, with the ability to interpret data effectively.
  3. Strong design and flow instinct to create brand-aligned and conversion-focused pages.
  4. Data discipline, using dashboards and attribution as primary tools for decision-making.
  5. Owner's mindset, focused on running a business rather than just managing tasks.
  6. Proactive 'let's-do-it' mentality, with a willingness to test, learn, and iterate weekly.
  7. A Bachelor's degree (BA/BSc/HND) is required.
  8. A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  9. Experience with European e-commerce and market dynamics is a plus.
