Job Description

The Private Wealth-Growth Lead at Andersen is responsible for implementing the private wealth growth strategy across Kenya and the broader East African market. This involves establishing a scalable business development model to support the long-term expansion of the private wealth practice. The role requires identifying and developing new markets, client segments, referral channels, partnerships, and business opportunities. The lead will originate and cultivate relationships with entrepreneurs, founders, high-net-worth individuals, family businesses, and affluent families, building a strong pipeline of private wealth opportunities and managing the business development process from prospecting to conversion. They will lead client discussions to understand diverse needs related to personal, family, business, investment, succession, and cross-border matters. Collaboration with Andersen’s Tax, Legal, Immigration, and Advisory teams is crucial to develop integrated solutions for private clients. The role also involves converting client needs into commercially viable mandates, driving revenue growth, and enhancing Andersen’s market profile within the Private Wealth ecosystem through events, thought leadership, networking, and strategic partnerships. Performance tracking of business development activity, pipeline, conversion, and revenue against targets is also a key aspect.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Execute the private wealth growth strategy for Kenya and East Africa.
  2. Establish a scalable business development model for long-term practice growth.
  3. Identify and develop new markets, client segments, referral channels, partnerships, and business opportunities.
  4. Originate and cultivate relationships with high-net-worth individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and family businesses.
  5. Develop a strong pipeline of private wealth opportunities and manage the business development process.
  6. Lead client conversations to understand their personal, family, business, investment, succession, and cross-border needs.
  7. Collaborate with Andersen’s Tax, Legal, Immigration, and Advisory teams to create integrated client solutions.
  8. Convert client needs into commercially viable mandates and drive revenue.
  9. Enhance Andersen’s profile in the Private Wealth ecosystem through events, thought leadership, networking, and partnerships.
  10. Track business development activity, pipeline, conversion, and revenue performance against targets.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Law, Accounting, Investment Management, or a related field.
  2. Demonstrable professional experience in private wealth, wealth management, private banking, family office, investment advisory, tax, legal, or professional services.
  3. Membership in a relevant professional body and in good standing.
  4. Strong commercial acumen and proven business development capability.
  5. Solid understanding of the financial, business, and wealth-planning needs of private clients.
  6. Proven ability to develop relationships and convert opportunities into revenue.
  7. Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
  8. Ability to work independently, take ownership, and thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
  9. Knowledge of global markets, investment products, and regulatory frameworks.
