Nurse

PCEA TumuTumu Hospital was established in 1909 by the Church of Scotland and is currently owned and governed by the Presbyterian Church of East Africa. Located in the Central Highlands of Kenya, 130 Km North of Nairobi, it is a 203-bed facility providing holistic healthcare.

Nurse

1. Hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) or a Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nursing (KRCHN) from a recognized institution.
2. Be registered and possess a valid license from the Nursing Council of Kenya (NCK).
3. Have a Certificate in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
4. Possess at least one year of clinical working experience, including internship.
5. Demonstrate very good knowledge of nursing, medical care, and counseling standards and procedures.
6. Exhibit good interpersonal and communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
7. Show evidence-based knowledge of current general nursing practices, particularly in an outpatient setting.
8. Proficiency in computer skills, especially Health Management Information Systems.
9. Ability to multi-task effectively in various situations.
10. Must be compassionate, possess integrity, and respect values.
11. Ability to pay attention to detail and report accurately.
12. Be a self-driven, diligent, honest, disciplined, and responsible individual.
13. Possess a pleasant demeanor, a heart to serve, and genuine love for the community.
14. Ability to offer quality services to all patients at all times, with a passion for patient wellbeing.
15. Ability to work with minimal supervision.
16. Willingness to work long hours, including late evenings, emergency calls at night, and over weekends.
17. Experience working in a youth-friendly health facility is an added advantage.
