Technical Operator (2) -Compression Molding & Pet Blower

The Technical Operator is responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of assigned equipment through timely autonomous, preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance. They must operate processing equipment according to manuals to prevent breakdowns, minimize waste, and avoid defective products. A key aspect of the role is performing and documenting root cause analyses for major equipment failures during their shift and escalating stubborn issues to the engineering team lead or senior department leadership for resolution. The operator will also monitor and record critical process parameters as specified in the Batch Manufacturing Record (BMR), making necessary adjustments to ensure intermediate and finished products meet quality specifications. Additionally, they are tasked with conducting pre-processing staging of equipment and raw materials for batch startup, as outlined in the BMR, while preventing cross-contamination. Adherence to safe work procedures during manufacturing equipment operation and championing 5S practices in their assigned work area are also crucial.

1. Ensure assigned equipment is in top condition through timely autonomous, preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance.
2. Operate assigned processing equipment according to manuals to prevent breakdowns, maloperations, waste, and defective products.
3. Perform and document root cause analysis for major equipment failures during the shift.
4. Escalate stubborn equipment issues to the engineering team lead or senior department leadership for resolution.
5. Monitor and record critical process parameters as specified in the BMR, making adjustments to ensure product quality.
6. Conduct pre-processing staging of equipment and raw materials for batch startup, ensuring no cross-contamination.
7. Follow safe work procedures while operating manufacturing equipment.
8. Execute and champion 5S practices in the assigned work area.

1. Minimum qualification of a Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics engineering, or a related discipline.
2. At least 5 years of experience operating and maintaining similar equipment.
3. Strong organizational and teamwork abilities.
4. Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
7. Effective problem-solving skills.
8. Working knowledge of OSHA, lean manufacturing, machine monitoring, process control, and good manufacturing practices.
