Card Portfolio Manager

HFCB is a bank responsible for driving growth, profitability, and customer engagement of its debit and credit card portfolio.

The Card Portfolio Manager is responsible for driving growth, profitability, and customer engagement of the bank’s debit and credit card portfolio by increasing card acquisition, activation, usage, spend, and retention while delivering a superior customer experience whenever our customers are using the bank’s Card products. The role holder is expected to develop and card growth initiatives from existing and new bank customers while upholding compliance with banking regulations and internal policies and building stronger HFCB Card awareness in the market. Additionally, the role involves identifying the gaps in delivering customer payment needs and elevating payments knowledge and offerings offering that deliver on customer lifestyle needs profitably.

1. Develop and execute initiatives to grow the bank’s card portfolio.
2. Increase new card acquisitions across all customer segments.
3. Drive card activation and first-use rates.
4. Increase card transaction volumes and spend per active card.
5. Improve card penetration within the bank’s existing customer base.
6. Work with branch teams, relationship managers, digital channels, and sales teams to grow card issuance.
7. Train frontline staff on card products and sales techniques.
8. Develop sales incentives and monitor performance.
9. Own card upgrades for profitability growth

1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Economics, Marketing, or a related field.
2. Professional certifications in payments or banking are an advantage
3. Commercial and business development acumen
