Senior Front-End Developer (Vue.js)

NestVest is a technology-driven real estate sales, leasing, and investment advisory platform based in Nairobi. The company is focused on building a fast, reliable property website and customer-facing digital products to connect buyers, renters, and investors with curated listings and enquiry tools.

The Senior Front-End Developer will be responsible for building and maintaining NestVest's core property website and various customer-facing digital products, including property listings, project pages, and search and enquiry workflows. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the Backend/Technical Lead to ensure the delivery of a polished, high-performance end-to-end product experience.

1. Develop responsive, mobile-first web pages using Vue.js (Vue 3 / Composition API).
2. Create property listing, search/filter, property detail, project, and landing pages.
3. Integrate front-end pages with existing backend APIs, CRM, and lead-capture workflows.
4. Implement and test forms, WhatsApp links, and other user enquiry actions.
5. Enhance loading speed, usability, accessibility, and overall front-end reliability.
6. Identify and fix bugs, conduct code reviews, and document technical handovers.
7. Work according to approved product requirements and UI designs.
8. Coordinate requirements and release activities with the Product / Delivery Manager.

1. Strong, production-level proficiency in Vue.js (Vue 3, Composition API, Pinia/Vuex, Vue Router) is essential.
2. A minimum of 4 years of professional experience in front-end development.
3. Solid foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
4. Experience with integrating REST APIs and managing validation, errors, and loading states.
5. Proven experience in building responsive, data-driven websites.
6. Proficiency with Git for version control and working within an existing codebase.
7. Understanding of web performance, basic technical SEO principles, and browser compatibility.
8. A portfolio or links to live projects demonstrating personal contributions is required.
9. (Nice-to-Have) Familiarity with React / Next.js.
10. (Nice-to-Have) Experience with TypeScript.
11. (Nice-to-Have) Basic understanding of backend technologies (e.g., Node.js, PHP).
12. (Nice-to-Have) UI/UX or design sensibility.
