Job Description
Makini Schools, a prominent educational institution in Kenya with multiple campuses in Nairobi and Kisumu, is actively recruiting a dedicated full-time Physical Education Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the Competency Based Education curriculum, drawing on global best practices to educate students from nursery through high school. This role requires an individual who is passionate about inspiring, challenging, motivating, and empowering a diverse student body.
Requirements
- Possess at least five years of demonstrable teaching experience in a recognized school, preferably one delivering the Competency Based Education (CBE) curriculum.
- Hold a Bachelor of Education degree with a specialization in Physical Education, complemented by a humanities or business subject, from a recognized institution.
- Experience in coaching sports such as Swimming, Soccer, or Basketball will be considered an added advantage.
- Must be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC).
- Demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of current educational issues related to specialist subject areas.
- Exhibit strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Embrace team spirit and possess the ability to work effectively with a diverse student body.
- Be self-driven and willing to inspire, challenge, motivate, and empower students.
