Youth Internship Programme 2026

The Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) is a state corporation established to provide a deposit insurance scheme for customers of member institutions, resolve problem banks, and generally provide stability to the financial sector.

The Kenya Deposit Insurance Corporation (KDIC) is inviting unemployed Kenyan graduates to apply for its 2026 Youth Internship Programme. This program aims to equip young graduates with practical work experience, professional skills, and exposure to the financial sector and other related areas. A total of 24 internship positions are available across various directorates and departments, including Information Communication Technology (3), Supply Chain Management (3), Corporate Communication (2), Human Resource and Administration (2), Records (1), Finance (2), Corporate Planning (2), Bank Resolution (4), Deposit Insurance and Bank Surveillance (2), Legal (2), and Internal Audit (1). Successful candidates will undertake a non-renewable 12-month internship.

1. Be an unemployed Kenyan graduate from a recognized training institution.
2. Have completed a degree or diploma program within the last three years.
3. Possess no prior work experience related to the area of study.
4. Be a graduate of a recognized degree or diploma program.
5. Not have retired or exited from formal employment.
6. Not have previously participated in a similar internship program.
7. For shortlisted candidates, present a Degree/Diploma certificate or academic transcripts, National Identification Card, and an updated Curriculum Vitae (CV).
8. Successful interns must have or obtain valid personal medical insurance (e.g., SHIF), NSSF registration, a valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the DCI, personal accident insurance for the internship duration, and a Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) PIN.
