GIS Support Analyst

The GIS Support Analyst at Proto Energy is responsible for leveraging GIS and spatial analysis to pinpoint market opportunities, customer concentrations, and sales coverage gaps. The role also involves analyzing sales performance across various regions, distributors, customers, products, and channels to identify trends and performance discrepancies. A key aspect is generating market and customer intelligence to bolster strategies for market penetration, customer acquisition, retention, and overall growth. The analyst will also develop and maintain GIS, Power BI, and other business intelligence dashboards for effective performance monitoring and informed decision-making. Furthermore, the position requires performing sales forecasting, demand analysis, and target planning using statistical and predictive analytics, as well as optimizing sales territories, distributor coverage, customer allocation, and routes through GIS and sales data.

1. Conduct GIS and spatial analysis to identify market opportunities, customer concentrations, territory gaps, and sales coverage.
2. Analyze sales performance across regions, distributors, customers, products, and channels to identify trends and performance gaps.
3. Generate market and customer intelligence to support market penetration, customer acquisition, retention, and growth strategies.
4. Develop and maintain GIS, Power BI, and business intelligence dashboards for performance monitoring and decision-making.
5. Perform sales forecasting, demand analysis, and target planning using statistical and predictive analytics.
6. Optimize sales territories, distributor coverage, customer allocation, and routes using GIS and sales data.

1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as GIS, data science, or an equivalent discipline.
2. Strong background in IT/data engineering and system integration.
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience.
