Junior Production Manager

AAA Growers is a division of AAA Group specializing in premium and prepared vegetables, herbs, and fruits. They cultivate a diverse range of produce both in-house and in open fields to ensure consistent supply and quality throughout the year.

This role is within AAA Growers – Veg, a division of AAA Group that produces a variety of premium and prepared vegetables, herbs, and fruits. The company started growing herbs in 2010 and has since expanded across three farms, utilizing both in-house and open-field cultivation to maintain continuous supply and consistent quality. The Junior Production Manager will manage all production operations and efficiency within their designated section.

1. Control production costs and monitor expenditure against the budget, implementing cost-saving measures.
2. Plan, direct, and coordinate greenhouse vegetable production, including greenhouse integrity, planting, crop maintenance, harvesting, forecasting, cleanliness, and microclimate management.
3. Ensure timely production of high-quality products and prepare production reports and forecasts for the Farm Manager and Sales team.
4. Oversee daily operations, leading, guiding, training, and supervising growers, while allocating work to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
5. Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and promote teamwork, safety, and professional development among staff.
6. Manage tools and equipment, maintain asset inventory, and coordinate preventive maintenance, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), tools, and equipment requisitions.
7. Supervise crop production from land preparation, planting, irrigation, and crop protection through growing, harvesting, and general maintenance.
8. Ensure Section Heads/Supervisors operate within budget, efficiently utilize resources and employee hours, control overtime, and plan for demand.
9. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, achieve five-week/weekly production predictions within ±5% accuracy, and manage greenhouse preparation/maintenance and cropping schedules, along with cultural activities.

1. Hold a Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, or a related field.
2. Possess over 5 years of experience in greenhouse vegetable crop production in a similar capacity.
3. Be self-motivated, a strategic thinker with excellent crisis management skills, and capable of proposing solutions.
4. Demonstrate the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic and diverse agricultural environment.
5. Exhibit strong administration, site management, and people management skills, with a proven track record of achieving targets within strict timeframes.
6. Possess strong report writing skills.
