Job Description

The Director, Acceptance Solutions Sales Executive is responsible for identifying and engaging new clients for Visa’s Acceptance Solutions, managing strategic account planning, and guiding opportunities through the sales cycle. This includes demonstrating product capabilities, engaging technical support, and ensuring solution activation and revenue generation. The role also focuses on upselling, cross-selling, and renewals within existing accounts, as well as acquiring new clients to expand Visa’s acceptance footprint. A key aspect is developing and executing strategies to grow partnerships with global and regional ISVs and technology platforms, positioning them as payment enablers and distributors of Visa solutions. The Director will lead programs like the Acquirer Acceleration Program, manage partner relationships, and collaborate with internal teams to achieve business objectives such as revenue growth and ecosystem development. Digital fluency, including the use of Generative AI tools, is required for all roles.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Lead the identification and engagement of new clients and opportunities for Visa Acceptance Solutions, focusing on strategic account planning and pipeline development.
  2. Drive upselling, cross-selling, and renewals within assigned product families and existing accounts.
  3. Develop and execute strategies for expanding partnerships with ISVs, technology platforms, and acquirers across regions.
  4. Manage and lead key programs such as the Acquirer Acceleration Program, including structured engagement with account executives, country managers, and acquiring partners.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Product Development, Technical Sales Engineers, Account Management) to ensure delivery of solutions and achievement of revenue and growth targets.
  6. Oversee reporting, analysis, and communication of program performance, including pipeline tracking and partner performance metrics.
  7. Build and enhance positive working relationships with clients and internal stakeholders, providing training and sharing knowledge as applicable.
  8. Negotiate and coordinate resources across teams to ensure delivery on commitments and contribute to process and procedure improvements.
  9. Work at least 3 days in the office, with specific expectations confirmed by the Hiring Manager.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 10 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or at least 8 years with an Advanced Degree (e.g., Masters/MBA/JD/MD), or at least 3 years with a PhD.
  2. Preferred: 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree, or 8-10 years with an Advanced Degree, or 6+ years with a PhD.
  3. Minimum 5 years of experience in sales leadership, including regional team management and multi-market responsibility.
  4. Experience in client or partner-facing roles within the payment industry.
  5. Experience working with technology solution providers and payment facilitators in both card-not-present and card-present environments.
  6. Experience managing key ISV and technology partnerships.
  7. Proven ability to drive upselling, cross-selling, and renewals within existing accounts.
  8. Experience in developing and executing sales strategies and programs.
  9. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  10. Experience in reporting, analysis, and communication of program performance.
  11. Proven ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  12. Proficiency in standard MS Office tools (e.g., MS Project, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  13. Experience in people management as a first-line manager.
  14. Demonstrable experience in attaining target quotas for bookings and revenue.
  15. Experience deploying a sales methodology to accelerate deal closure through a value-based selling approach.
  16. Demonstrated ability to consult and work closely with client C-level executives to present strategic vision and negotiate effectively.
  17. Experience in managing multiple internal stakeholders to deliver commercial goals.
