Software Developer

The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, developing, implementing, maintaining, and continuously improving secure, scalable, and user-friendly software applications. This role supports the organization's business operations and digital transformation goals by translating business requirements into effective technology solutions, integrating systems and databases, developing APIs and applications, and troubleshooting technical issues. The successful candidate will ensure that all software solutions are reliable, efficient, secure, and aligned with industry best practices.

1. Develop, maintain, and support software applications in accordance with the organization’s approved IT policies, standards, procedures, and development methodologies.
2. Ensure all software development activities follow established change management, testing, deployment, documentation, and approval procedures.
3. Translate business and operational requirements into functional and technical software solutions.
4. Develop, test, implement, and maintain applications, databases, APIs, integrations, and automation solutions.
5. Ensure software solutions are secure, reliable, scalable, maintainable, and fit for business purpose.
6. Follow established procedures for source-code management, version control, backups, access control, system security, and data protection.
7. Participate in the analysis, troubleshooting, resolution, and prevention of application and system-related incidents.
8. Maintain accurate technical documentation, including system specifications, source-code documentation, database structures, APIs, configurations, and user guides.
9. Ensure all system changes are properly tested, documented, approved, and deployed in accordance with IT change-management procedures.
10. Support business users during User Acceptance Testing (UAT), system implementation, training, and post-implementation support.
11. Monitor application performance and identify opportunities for optimization, automation, and process improvement.
12. Ensure software development activities comply with applicable company policies, information-security requirements, data-protection requirements, and regulatory standards.
13. Work closely with IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, database, ERP, and business teams to ensure effective system integration and operational continuity.
14. Maintain appropriate controls to protect confidential business information, customer data, credentials, source code, and system access.
15. Follow established procedures for incident escalation, problem management, disaster recovery, and business continuity where applicable.
16. Evaluate new technologies, development frameworks, AI tools, and automation opportunities that can improve operational efficiency.
17. Ensure internally developed applications are properly handed over, supported, and maintained throughout their lifecycle.
18. Contribute to the continuous review and improvement of IT policies, software-development standards, operating procedures, and technical controls.
19. Maintain professional development and stay current with emerging technologies, software-development practices, cybersecurity requirements, AI, cloud platforms, and industry standards.

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or any other related field.
2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development.
3. Proficiency in core programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, C++, C#, or SQL, depending on the development focus (e.g., web, mobile, or backend development).
4. Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
5. Experience with source code management tools like Git and GitHub.
6. Familiarity with modern AI coding assistants.
