Post Graduate Program Coordinator (EASS)

This position involves coordinating all aspects of postgraduate academic programs and offering support to postgraduate students from admission through to graduation. The coordinator is tasked with ensuring effective program administration, strict adherence to University policies, and upholding high academic and research standards across all postgraduate activities.

1. Coordinate the admission, registration, orientation, and academic progression of postgraduate students.
2. Advise and support postgraduate students on academic matters, program requirements, and institutional regulations.
3. Coordinate the allocation and approval of supervisors and monitor the progress of postgraduate research.
4. Ensure postgraduate research proposals, theses, and dissertations comply with institutional guidelines and quality standards.
5. Coordinate proposal defenses, progress seminars, oral examinations (viva voce), and thesis examinations.
6. Liaise with internal and external examiners to facilitate timely examination of postgraduate research.
7. Monitor student progress and ensure timely submission of progress reports, dissertations, and theses.
8. Coordinate curriculum review and implementation for postgraduate programs in collaboration with academic staff.
9. Prepare reports on postgraduate enrolment, progression, completion, and graduation.
10. Present postgraduate matters to departmental, faculty, and university committees as required.
11. Maintain accurate records of postgraduate students, research activities, examinations, and graduations.
12. Liaise with the School of Graduate Studies, departments, supervisors, and external stakeholders on postgraduate matters.
13. Ensure compliance with institutional policies, quality assurance requirements, and postgraduate regulations.
14. Promote research excellence and support initiatives that enhance postgraduate teaching, supervision, and research.

1. A PhD in Educational Management, Educational Administration, Curriculum Development, Educational Leadership, or a related discipline from an accredited University.
2. A Master’s and Bachelor’s degree in Educational Management, Educational Administration, Curriculum Development, Educational Leadership, or a related area from an accredited University.
3. At least three years of working experience in a similar role at a Private University.
4. Demonstrate potential for leadership.
5. Capable of working independently and committed to working collaboratively with a range of colleagues from across the University.
