Job Description
The Underwriting Manager (Non-Motor) will oversee underwriting operations, risk assessment, compliance, policy implementation, and leadership of the underwriting team to ensure profitability and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead underwriting strategy and compliance initiatives
- Review and approve high-value and complex insurance applications
- Assess risks for renewals and new business
- Develop underwriting policies and best practices
- Lead and mentor underwriting teams
- Improve underwriting processes and automation
- Ensure timely issuance of policy documents and renewals
- Maintain customer and stakeholder relationships
- Ensure compliance with insurance regulations and company policies
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Insurance, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
- Diploma in Insurance (Mandatory)
- Member of AIK
- Minimum 6 years underwriting experience
- Minimum 3 years in management level
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Excellent analytical and risk assessment skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
