Financing Analysts

Premier Bank Kenya Limited is a financial institution established in 2023, operating within the banking and financial services sector. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, the bank provides a range of banking services to its clients.

The core objective of this role is to meticulously review and validate all financing proposals to guarantee their completeness, accuracy, and consistency with the bank's established policies and procedures. The analyst must also ensure strict adherence to Shari’ah guidelines and the prudential regulations set by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK). This position is critical in maintaining the integrity and regulatory compliance of the bank's financing operations.

1. Ensure financing proposals are complete, correct, and consistent with bank policies, Shari’ah guidelines, and CBK prudential guidelines.
2. Prepare required statutory reports for CBK and CRB, as well as other reports for bank management.
3. Support business units with timely responses, ensuring set turnaround times (TAT) are achieved and maintained.
4. Institute and oversee the timely disbursement of facilities while ensuring adequate controls.
5. Scrutinize all required facility documents, including customer application letters, KYC documents (e.g., national ID, PIN), and financing proposals.
6. Maintain records and track facility applications.
7. Verify and prepare post-Letter of Offer (LOO) functions.
8. Conduct competitor analysis and research to ensure the bank's continued market competitiveness and relevance.
9. Keep branch financing officers informed of key financing issues and changes to improve relationship management.
10. Support business units with timely responses for branch disbursement bookings, ensuring set TATs are achieved.
11. Maintain a high quality of the assigned financing portfolio and the entire asset book through proper risk evaluation and timely proposition of corrective actions to secure the bank's interests.
12. Timely track and follow up on facility proposals from business units for next-level approval within agreed turnaround times.
13. Undertake other tasks as assigned by the Head of Financing, immediate supervisors, and other bank management.

1. Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Administration, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
2. Possess a Diploma in Banking and/or Professional Banking/CPA (K) qualifications.
3. Have a minimum of five (5) years of relevant work experience with a proven result-oriented track record.
4. Demonstrate strong customer service orientation and experience.
5. Possess experience in business development and banking operations.
6. Have a thorough understanding of the Bank’s financing policy and CBK prudential guidelines.
7. Exhibit strong interpersonal skills for effective communication and managing expectations of customers and other stakeholders.
8. Possess analytical skills for understanding and interpreting facility structures and options for managing non-performing loans.
9. Demonstrate knowledge and effective application of all relevant banking policies, processes, procedures, and guidance to consistently achieve required compliance standards.
10. Have strong planning and organizing skills for effective task execution within timeframes and budget.
11. Possess excellent written and oral communication skills for effective relationships with different stakeholders.
12. Show quality orientation to ensure consistency in adhering to and upholding performance standards for Service Level Agreements and documentation quality.
13. Demonstrate self-empowerment to foster open communication, teamwork, and trust, supporting a performance and customer-service oriented culture.
