Job Description
Powerstar Supermarket is inviting qualified and experienced professionals to apply for the position of Account Clerk based in Nairobi. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile branch financial records and reports.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and budgets.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies.
- Assist with audits and tax preparation.
- Analyze financial data to support business decisions.
- Assist in month-end closing activities.
- Support preparation of financial statements.
- Reconcile payroll-related accounts and maintain the general ledger.
- Participate in budgeting and forecasting processes related to staff costs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA (Part II), ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
- At least 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- Experience in payroll processing and financial accounting.
- Proficiency in ERP systems such as Sage 300 or Microsoft Dynamics 365, as well as Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with keen attention to detail.
