Lower Primary School Teacher

Foresight Academy is a Kindergarten & Primary school established to cater to the educational needs of young families residing in Ruaka and its environs.

The Lower Primary School Teacher will be responsible for educating young children, implementing inquiry-based and student-centered learning approaches. This role requires strong classroom management skills, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to both personal and professional development within the educational field. The ideal candidate will be actively involved in co-curricular activities and possess a deep understanding of the CBC curriculum.

1. Hold a P1, Diploma, or ECDE Certification
2. Possess a strong, demonstrated passion for education and young children
3. Exhibit strong classroom management skills
4. Have an understanding of and passion for inquiry-based, student-centered learning
5. Demonstrate a team player mentality, enjoying group problem-solving
6. Care deeply about personal growth and developing others
7. Be registered with the Teachers Service Commission (TSC)
8. Be trained and experienced in the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC)
9. Be active in co-curricular activities
10. Special Educational Needs (SEN) qualifications and experience are desirable
11. Demonstrate computer proficiency
12. Be flexible, open to change, possess a good attitude, and be child-friendly
13. Be a committed Christian
14. Have a minimum of 2 years’ experience
