About the Company

Trainingcred Institute offers research, training, and consultancy services to international development organizations. Its mission is to enhance the impact, effectiveness, and efficiency of social interventions through innovative solutions for sustainable outcomes. The institute specializes in creating both online and in-person learning experiences.

Job Description

The successful candidate will collaborate with trainers, instructional designers, and the learning operations team to produce recorded courses, screen-based tutorials, practical demonstrations, and supporting multimedia resources. This role involves recording preparation, production support, video and audio editing, motion graphics, captions, and final delivery for the learning platform. The primary focus will be on educational content, with course trailers and promotional edits as secondary responsibilities. The ultimate goal is to create content that effectively helps learners understand concepts, follow demonstrations, and apply new knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Produce and edit e-learning videos, transforming trainer recordings, screen captures, and approved teaching materials into polished lessons and coherent course series.
  2. Edit for clarity, accuracy, and appropriate pacing, removing repetition while preserving useful explanations and professional reasoning.
  3. Combine screen recordings, presenter footage, slides, voice-overs, and supporting visuals to enhance the learning experience.
  4. Support recording and trainer preparation by providing practical guidance on microphone use, lighting, camera framing, screen setup, delivery, and presentation.
  5. Conduct recording checks to identify and address issues early, such as background noise, poor audio levels, unreadable screen content, and distracting notifications.
  6. Develop learning-focused visuals, including clear titles, lower thirds, diagrams, annotations, callouts, and simple motion graphics to support teaching.
  7. Use zooms, highlights, and visual emphasis to make important steps and information easier to follow, while consistently applying TrainingCred’s visual identity.
  8. Deliver accessible, platform-ready content by preparing and reviewing captions, transcripts, and on-screen text for technical terminology, spelling, timing, and readability.
  9. Export videos in required formats and quality levels, balancing visual clarity with file size, and testing playback across relevant devices.
  10. Maintain quality and manage revisions by working with instructional designers and trainers to approve sample lessons before batch production.
  11. Check each lesson for editing errors, missing segments, audio issues, caption inaccuracies, and inconsistencies, flagging subject-related concerns for expert review.
  12. Consolidate feedback, manage revisions, and keep production stakeholders informed of progress and blockers.
  13. Organize production assets and support publishing by maintaining an organized library of raw recordings, project files, graphics, audio, captions, and final exports.
  14. Follow agreed naming conventions, version-control practices, and backup procedures, preparing complete handover packages for publishing.
  15. Produce course thumbnails, previews, and promotional clips, handling recordings and client information responsibly by using only approved assets.

Requirements

  1. Possess at least three years of relevant video editing or multimedia production experience, or demonstrate comparable capability through a strong portfolio.
  2. Have specific experience with educational content, tutorials, software demonstrations, or professional training.
  3. Be highly proficient in a professional editing application such as Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut Pro, with practical skills in audio editing, color correction, and export.
  4. Demonstrate the ability to produce clear screen-led learning content, including combining recordings and slides, improving visual readability, creating annotations, and maintaining continuity between lessons.
  5. Exhibit strong attention to detail and production organization, ensuring accurate captions, consistent visual standards, structured files, and reliable management of feedback and deadlines.
  6. Possess clear communication and collaborative working skills, with the confidence to guide trainers, explain editing decisions, and work constructively with subject experts and instructional designers.
  7. A relevant qualification in film production, multimedia, digital media, or communication is beneficial, though equivalent practical experience and a strong portfolio will also be considered.
  8. Experience with motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects), screen-recording software, learning management systems, multi-lesson course production, basic photography, or studio recording is a valuable advantage.
  9. Familiarity with AI-assisted editing, transcription, or audio-cleanup tools is useful, provided outputs can be critically reviewed for accuracy, confidentiality, and production quality.
  10. Provide a portfolio with two or three relevant work samples, ideally including an educational video, screen-based tutorial, training lesson, or other explanatory content.
  11. For each sample, briefly state your contribution, tools used, and a production or editing challenge resolved, including at least one complete lesson or substantial excerpt.
