Job Description

The Graphic Designer at DIB Bank Kenya is crucial for maintaining the bank's visual identity and ensuring all communications reflect professionalism, trust, and credibility. This in-house role supports the Marketing, Brand & Communications team by producing world-class visual content rapidly and consistently, reducing reliance on external agencies. The designer is responsible for all visual output, from social media graphics and campaign assets to Board presentations, event branding, and branch materials. The role requires producing numerous design assets monthly across various formats and channels, maintaining quick turnaround times without compromising brand quality or accuracy. It involves strong self-management, effective prioritization under pressure, and a disciplined approach to briefing and approval processes. The role also includes a governance function, reviewing and quality-controlling external design work and maintaining the brand asset library.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design all marketing campaign assets, including social media graphics, digital banners, email templates, out-of-home advertising, and print advertisements.
  2. Develop campaign visual concepts in collaboration with the Brand Marketing Manager and Digital & Content Officer, from mood boards to final production-ready files.
  3. Produce high-quality visual content for Islamic calendar campaigns (Ramadan, Eid Al-Fitr, Eid Al-Adha, Muharram, Mawlid), reflecting cultural significance and DIB Kenya's brand aesthetic.
  4. Prepare artwork files for print vendors and digital platforms, ensuring correct specifications, bleed, resolution, and color profiles.
  5. Maintain and enforce DIB Kenya’s Brand Identity System, ensuring all visual output adheres to brand guidelines for typography, color, logo usage, and imagery.
  6. Develop and maintain the brand asset library, keeping templates, logo files, fonts, and approved imagery organized and accessible.
  7. Review and quality-control all externally produced design work, including agency submissions and co-branded materials, to ensure brand standards are met.
  8. Support the development of new brand assets, product visual identities, and sub-brand design elements as the bank's portfolio grows.
  9. Design all social media visual content, including post graphics, Stories, Reels overlays, and profile assets, consistent with the brand and content calendar.
  10. Design responsive email marketing templates that are brand-consistent and visually effective across devices.
  11. Design all website visual elements, such as banners, hero images, product page graphics, and landing page visuals, in coordination with the Digital & Content Officer.
  12. Support the production of motion graphics and animated social content using tools like Adobe After Effects or Canva.
  13. Design all corporate materials, including executive presentations, annual reports, Board papers, stakeholder communications, and official bank publications.
  14. Produce all HR and internal communications design, such as staff posters, internal newsletters, and employer brand visuals.
  15. Design all customer-facing collateral, including product brochures, promotional flyers, rate cards, customer welcome kits, and branch materials.
  16. Produce internal signage, office environment branding, and workspace visual elements for a consistent physical presence.
  17. Design all event branding and collateral, including stage backdrops, pull-up banners, event programs, and branded merchandise.
  18. Manage event artwork production and liaise with print vendors to ensure materials are produced to specification and delivered on time.
  19. Design pop-up booth materials, exhibition stands, and activation materials for community events and trade shows.
  20. Manage DIB Kenya’s photography and image library, curating high-quality, culturally appropriate, and Shariah-consistent visual assets.
  21. Brief and coordinate external photographers and videographers for campaign shoots, product photography, and event coverage.
  22. Ensure all visual assets used across channels are brand-consistent, culturally appropriate, and properly licensed.
