Job Description
The Corporate Dealer is responsible for executing the corporate sales strategy within financial services, aligning with the overall treasury strategy to achieve profitability targets through revenue maximization and effective cost management. The role focuses on building and maintaining strong relationships with customers and stakeholders to develop business solutions and increase revenue for the corporate treasury sales portfolio. It also involves ensuring excellent customer service, cross-selling treasury products, and actively marketing various financial instruments to corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement the corporate sales strategy for financial services, aligning with the overall treasury strategy to meet profitability targets through revenue growth and cost control.
- Develop and maintain strong, strategic relationships with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders to drive business solutions and revenue growth for the corporate treasury sales portfolio.
- Champion consistent, seamless, and trusted customer service to ensure client retention and loyalty, organizing and planning calls with prospective clients to manage relationships.
- Promote cross-selling of existing and new treasury products to current and new clients, maintaining effective communication with relevant bank business units.
- Drive treasury revenue within the Corporate Banking division.
- Lead segmented sales efforts and provide customized solutions to clients in designated sectors.
- Actively market specific product offerings such as Spot FX, Forwards, Options, Swaps, and Delivery vs Payment solutions to corporate clients.
- Manage and ensure the timely booking of forex transactions using the Bank’s core banking system/k plus and Electronic Trading platform.
- Advise staff on best practices and operations related to foreign exchange.
- Monitor market trends and proactively identify potential areas for revenue growth.
- Promptly relay important information or news to relevant parties to manage risk and maximize gains.
- Ensure adherence to the Bank’s policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a business-related field.
- ACI Dealing Certificate is mandatory.
- A Master’s degree in a relevant field is an added advantage.
- Minimum of three years of experience in Treasury Sales within the banking or financial services sector.
- At least two years of experience and a solid understanding of Corporate Banking operations and products.
- Minimum of three years of demonstrated commercial awareness with the ability to identify and capitalize on business opportunities.
- Experience in trading and structuring foreign exchange derivatives, including forwards, swaps, and options, for a minimum of two years is an added advantage.
- Working knowledge of Reuters and Bloomberg platforms is an added advantage.
