Head, Private Banking & Wealth- Personal & Private Banking

The Head of Private Banking & Wealth will be responsible for developing and implementing the strategy for affluent clients, focusing on expanding the client base, achieving market leadership, and ensuring long-term value. This position requires championing seamless client journeys, leading digital transformation initiatives, and collaborating with various segments and stakeholders to establish a compelling value proposition for affluent clients. The goal is to enhance client engagement, deepen relationships, and deliver superior commercial outcomes for the bank.

1. Hold a First Degree in Business Commerce, Finance, Economics, or a related field; a postgraduate qualification is an advantage.
2. Possess a preferred certification from the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
3. Demonstrate extensive experience in Private Banking and Wealth Management, with a proven history of leading client acquisition, sales, service, and relationship management strategies for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
4. Show demonstrated success in driving business growth, increasing market share, expanding assets under management, and achieving sustainable revenue and profitability targets in a competitive financial services environment.
5. Have proven experience in developing and executing growth strategies, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong networks to attract and retain affluent and wealth clients.
6. Exhibit strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to interpret market trends, assess risks and opportunities, and make strategic decisions.
7. Possess extensive experience in preparing, evaluating, and motivating complex credit applications and transactions, along with a sound understanding of credit risk management and governance requirements.
8. Demonstrate deep knowledge of banking, wealth management, investment, lending, fiduciary, and advisory products and services.
9. Show a demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, fostering a culture of client centricity, collaboration, accountability, and service excellence.
10. Be recognized as a transformational leader with a successful track record of leading organizational change, digital adoption, innovation, and business transformation initiatives.
11. Possess a strong understanding of industry trends, regulatory requirements, emerging technologies, and the evolving wealth management landscape.
12. Have experience operating at a senior leadership level within organizations of comparable scale and complexity, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build strategic partnerships.
13. Demonstrate the ability to balance strategic leadership with hands-on execution.
