Job Description
The ICT Officer at Westlands Specialist Hospital is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the hospital's information and communication technology infrastructure. This includes maintaining critical systems, providing technical support to staff, and safeguarding data integrity and security. The role involves managing various IT components to support the hospital's patient-centered healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain hospital management systems (HMIS), hardware, networks, and internet connectivity.
- Provide timely technical support to staff across departments.
- Manage data backups, system security, and user access controls.
- Support CCTV, telephony, and printing infrastructure.
- Coordinate with vendors on system upgrades and maintenance.
Requirements
- Possess a Degree or Diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Have 3–5 years of ICT experience, preferably within a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrate hands-on experience with networking (LAN/WAN), Windows/Linux operating systems, and databases.
- A CCNA or similar certification is an added advantage.
- Exhibit strong problem-solving and communication skills.
