Job Description
Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) invites applications for a full-time Lecturer position within the Department of Animal Sciences. The successful candidate will contribute to academic excellence through teaching, research, and other scholarly activities, focusing on specialized areas such as Animal Nutrition, Animal Breeding and Genetics, or Livestock Production Systems. This role is based at the university's campus in Nairobi.
Requirements
- Possess a PhD in Animal Sciences, Animal Production, or a closely related field, with specialization in Animal Nutrition, Animal Breeding and Genetics, or Livestock Production Systems from an accredited institution.
- Hold a Master’s degree in Animal Sciences, Animal Nutrition, Animal Production, Animal Breeding and Genetics, Livestock Production Systems, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
- Have earned a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Health, Production and Processing, Animal Science, Animal Production, Animal Health, or a closely related field from an accredited university.
- Be registered with a relevant professional body such as APSK or KVB.
- Prior teaching experience at university level, or experience in research or industry, will be considered an advantage.
