The role involves assisting the Student Application & Monitoring team with the entire lifecycle of candidate and student (referred to as ‘Members’) management, encompassing application, onboarding, and ongoing monitoring. What You Will Do
- Support outreach activities, including visits to tertiary education institutions and conducting information and pre-graduation sessions with students.
- Assist the Student Application & Monitoring Manager and the CHANCEN team with administrative tasks.
- Help assess the accuracy of data collected from student applications during the onboarding process.
- File all student Members' documents correctly and share them with the Supervisor for review.
- Collaborate closely with the broader CHANCEN International team to ensure effective teamwork.
- Prepare all necessary materials and documents for education institution visits, education fairs, or events involving CHANCEN.
- Assist the Student Application & Monitoring team in conducting the ISA contract signing process with student applicants.
- Support the coordination and scheduling of home visits in collaboration with the program team.
- Perform other tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma or ongoing Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Communication, Education, Sociology, Economics, International Relations, or a related field.
- Strong interest in communication, customer service, or student engagement is beneficial.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with students, applicants, and guardians.
- Capability to adapt tone and messaging for diverse audiences.
- Ability to interact with individuals with empathy, patience, and professionalism.
- Comfortable handling inquiries via email, phone calls, and digital platforms.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to effectively support beneficiaries.
- Openness to guidance in facilitating communication activities.
- Highly organized with meticulous attention to detail in communication tracking and documentation.
- Ability to manage multiple communication tasks, including emails, calls, and follow-ups.
- Willingness and commitment to learn, work, and adapt to CHANCEN’s organizational culture.
