Custodial Services Officer

Stanbic Bank Kenya is a financial institution founded in 1958, offering a wide range of banking and financial services.

The Custodial Services Officer is responsible for managing multi-asset class settlement instructions, ensuring they are processed according to market guidelines for specific clients. This includes actively monitoring for and executing against any exceptions that arise, as well as promptly responding to client and internal queries. The primary goal is to deliver an accurate, timely, and high-quality Settlements service to clients, Investor Services, and the broader business operations.

1. Receive and process multi-asset class settlement instructions for assigned clients, adhering to market-stipulated guidelines.
2. Monitor and execute against exceptions in settlement processes.
3. Respond to client and internal queries to ensure accurate and timely service delivery.

1. Hold a First Degree qualification.
2. Possess 3-4 years of relevant experience.
3. Demonstrate basic knowledge and expertise in Securities, post-trade services, and related products within the Securities Environment, including processing Equities, Bonds, and Money Market instruments.
4. Exhibit client-centric behavior with the ability to interact effectively with clients via various channels (email, telephone, SWIFT) to understand and fulfill their needs.
5. Have banking operations experience.
6. Strong behavioral competencies including articulating information, checking things, developing expertise, following procedures, interacting with people, managing tasks, meeting timescales, team working, and upholding standards.
7. Proficiency in technical competencies such as client servicing, continuous process improvement, data analysis, deal or trade life cycles, local market knowledge, query resolution, settlement process, and settlement systems.
