Job Description

The Sales Operations Analyst is responsible for delivering operational analytics, business assurance, and decision support across all Sales Operations. This involves ensuring the accuracy and consistency of operational data across various commercial platforms, identifying potential operational and financial risks, supporting governance initiatives, and providing actionable insights to enhance commercial performance, operational efficiency, and business controls. The analyst will serve as a primary business partner, collaborating with Business Intelligence, Software, Finance, Commercial, ERP, Logistics, and Carbon teams on reporting, analytics, and continuous improvement projects related to Sales Operations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze sales operations performance across all markets and business units, providing insights on reconciliation, stock governance, commissions, operational KPIs, and commercial performance.
  2. Identify trends, performance gaps, and improvement opportunities, offering data-driven recommendations to leadership for enhanced operational efficiency.
  3. Monitor reconciliation performance against agreed service level agreements and governance standards, analyzing exceptions, aging items, open serials, and operational backlogs.
  4. Support month-end and year-end operational closure activities, recommending corrective and preventive actions to strengthen financial and operational controls.
  5. Validate the consistency of sales-related data across various platforms including Nexus, Navision, BUISY, Metabase, and operational reports.
  6. Investigate data inconsistencies, posting anomalies, and system exceptions affecting business reporting, partnering with BI, Software, and ERP teams for resolution.
  7. Validate business reports before their use for operational and executive purposes.
  8. Monitor operational risks such as unreconciled sales, stock exposure, commission exceptions, and reporting inconsistencies.
  9. Maintain the Sales Operations Operational Risk Register and track mitigation actions, ensuring compliance with Sales Operations SOPs and recommending improvements.
  10. Support internal audits, control reviews, and governance initiatives.
  11. Generate analytical insights on commission performance, agent productivity, inventory trends, and operational efficiency.
  12. Identify automation opportunities and support the implementation of process improvements, performing root cause analysis for recurring operational issues and recommending sustainable solutions.
  13. Support system enhancements and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for operational initiatives.
  14. Collaborate with Commercial, Finance, BI, Software, ERP, Logistics, and Carbon teams to resolve operational issues.
  15. Translate business requirements into analytical and system improvement opportunities, supporting strategic projects, market rollouts, and operational change initiatives.
  16. Present operational insights, risks, and recommendations to management and key stakeholders.
  17. Prepare and validate weekly and monthly operational performance reports.
  18. Develop management reports highlighting key operational trends, risks, and opportunities, supporting Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), audits, and executive presentations.
  19. Ensure the timely delivery of accurate, reliable, and actionable operational information.

Requirements

  1. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Statistics, Economics, Information Systems, or a related field.
  2. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Sales Operations, Business Analytics, Commercial Operations, or a similar analytical role.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with advanced proficiency in Excel.
  4. Experience with Power BI or SQL is an added advantage.
  5. Experience working with ERP and business intelligence platforms.
  6. Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
