Security Supervisor

Farmers Choice Limited is seeking a Security Supervisor to oversee security operations, manage a team of officers, and ensure compliance with security protocols and regulations at their Nairobi facility.

1. Plan and deploy security shifts considering risks, production schedules, dispatch volumes, visitor activity, and vulnerable areas.
2. Conduct briefings, handovers, and debriefs, assigning posts, equipment, and specific instructions.
3. Oversee company security officers and contracted guards, inspecting posts and promptly addressing any service deficiencies.
4. Implement and enforce procedures for access control, searches, visitor management, key control, seals, vehicle movements, and property removal.
5. Verify high-risk inbound and outbound movements, escalating any discrepancies in documentation, quantities, seals, or routes.
6. Assume initial command during security incidents, secure incident scenes, activate response plans, and assist with investigations.
7. Ensure adherence to private security laws, occupational safety standards, food defense protocols, and company policies.
8. Compile shift summaries, dashboards, and reports, analyzing trends and proposing corrective measures.

1. Demonstrated proficiency in shift command, access control, CCTV operation, incident management, and emergency response.
2. Solid understanding of inventory and dispatch controls, food defense, occupational safety, and contractor management.
3. Computer literate, including proficiency with email, spreadsheets, incident reporting systems, and electronic surveillance/access control platforms.
4. Strong frontline leadership and accountability skills.
5. High level of risk awareness, sound operational judgment, and ability to make calm decisions under pressure.
6. Disciplined approach to investigations, with clear reporting and escalation capabilities.
7. Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and teamwork abilities.
8. Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Investigations, Business Administration, or a related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
9. Valid registration, training, and compliance as required by relevant private-security laws and regulations.
10. Minimum of 5 years of progressive security experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory capacity.
11. Prior experience in FMCG, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, agriculture, or distribution sectors is highly advantageous.
12. Certification in first aid, fire marshalling, investigations, defensive driving, or occupational safety is a plus.
