Job Description
Kilimall is looking for a skilled Security Officer to ensure a safe and secure environment at its facility located on Mombasa Road in Nairobi. The role involves managing front-desk operations, conducting security checks, monitoring access control and surveillance systems, and responding to incidents.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage front-desk operations, including greeting visitors, maintaining guest logs, issuing badges, providing customer service, and enforcing access control procedures.
- Perform routine security checks and patrols, conducting physical screenings of staff and visitors according to departmental regulations.
- Monitor CCTV surveillance, manage entry and exit points, and ensure only authorized personnel access the facility.
- Assist the security team in emergency response, incident documentation, and professional conflict de-escalation.
Requirements
- Hold a Diploma in Security Management, Criminology, Business Administration, or a closely related field.
- Possess at least three years of active security experience, ideally within logistics, supply chain, warehousing, or a similar fast-paced commercial setting.
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills for front-desk interactions.
- Exhibit excellent observation and conflict-resolution abilities.
- Be proficient in basic computer literacy, including data logging and visitor management software.
