Food & Beverage Manager

Ngong Hills Hotel is a luxurious cosmopolitan haven located in Kilimani, Nairobi, a leading business and leisure hotel that has become a top player in local hospitality.

This role involves managing the comprehensive food and beverage operations at Ngong Hills Hotel, including bars, restaurants, and event services. The manager will be responsible for driving revenue, ensuring profitability, and meticulously controlling costs. A key aspect of the role is maintaining high standards of service, food quality, and hygiene across all F&B outlets.

1. Supervise all daily food and beverage operations, encompassing bars, restaurants, and events.
2. Prioritize revenue generation, profitability, and effective cost management.
3. Ensure adherence to high standards for service quality, food preparation, and hygiene.
4. Provide training and motivation to the Food & Beverage team.
5. Manage stock levels, procurement processes, inventory control, and waste reduction.
6. Guarantee guest satisfaction and implement effective service recovery procedures when necessary.
7. Ensure full compliance with hotel Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), food safety regulations, and relevant Kenyan laws.

1. Hold a Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related discipline.
2. Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience, with at least 2-3 years in a supervisory or managerial role within Food & Beverage.
3. Demonstrate strong knowledge of F&B operational procedures, cost control methods, and inventory management practices.
4. Exhibit excellent leadership, communication, and commercial acumen.
5. Be proficient in using Point of Sale (POS) systems and hotel/inventory management software.
