Job Description

The Quality Controller will be responsible for ensuring that all ingredients, raw materials, packaging, in-process items, and finished products meet the company's stringent food safety and quality standards. This involves conducting thorough inspections and promoting a culture of ongoing improvement within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Implement and oversee food safety and quality standards throughout receiving, production, storage, and dispatch processes.
  2. Perform real-time quality checks, including sampling, laboratory tests, and sensory evaluations.
  3. Maintain precise documentation, ensure product traceability, and promptly report any product quality concerns or process deviations.
  4. Investigate product non-conformities and customer complaints, assist in root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions efficiently.
  5. Contribute to new product development activities, including testing, reporting, and creating specifications.
  6. Conduct internal audits, monitor adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and hygiene standards, and ensure sanitation schedules are followed.
  7. Manage quality assurance programs and records, ensuring compliance with both industry and regulatory standards.
  8. Deliver quality and food safety training to staff to foster a sustainable quality culture.

Requirements

  1. Hold a Diploma in Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
  2. Possess 1-2 years of relevant experience within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or food manufacturing sector.
  3. Demonstrate strong knowledge of FSSC 22000, HACCP, GMP, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  4. Exhibit strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  5. Possess excellent communication skills, keen attention to detail, and the capacity to work effectively within a team.
