Job Description

The Credit Analyst will be responsible for evaluating asset finance applications, ensuring they meet product parameters and credit policies. This includes executing credit underwriting functions, monitoring transactions, and managing credit risk exposures to prevent financial loss. The role also involves participating in the review, assessment, and enhancement of asset finance products and portfolios, including digitalization initiatives and process manual updates.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Analyze asset finance loan applications and documents, ensuring compliance with product parameters, credit policies, and underwriting standards.
  2. Perform credit underwriting in line with the bank's credit and growth strategies, reviewing applications within stipulated turnaround times and managing loan portfolio migration rates.
  3. Conduct World Check screenings for adverse mentions and escalate findings to the Compliance Department.
  4. Monitor customer account conduct and risk profiles through transaction analysis.
  5. Manage asset finance credit risk exposures within established risk appetite to protect the bank from potential financial losses.
  6. Evaluate and understand risks associated with individual transactions, products, securities, and borrowers.
  7. Contribute to the review and assessment of the Asset Finance Product and Portfolio.
  8. Propose and recommend key changes and updates to the Asset Finance Product Offering.
  9. Participate in product digitalization and system enhancement projects for Asset Finance.
  10. Engage in the review of the Asset Finance Product Manual and related processes.

Requirements

  1. Minimum of 4 years of experience as a loan appraisal officer or in a similar role.
  2. Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of Asset Finance.
  3. Excellent understanding of credit risks, financial analysis, and credit analysis techniques.
  4. Strong presentation and analytical skills.
  5. Good communication and planning abilities.
  6. Proven ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders across the bank and manage key relationships.
