Community Outreach Officer

The Community Outreach Officers at CIC Microinsurance will be instrumental in expanding the company's reach by generating new business, fostering relationships with communities and institutions, and actively promoting microinsurance products within their designated regions and sectors. This position involves comprehensive lead generation, client relationship management, educating clients on product offerings, and ensuring efficient service delivery through close collaboration with internal teams. The role is designed to offer an attractive performance-based incentive structure along with override commissions.

1. Identify and recruit new clients and intermediaries, reactivating dormant accounts and expanding outreach channels.
2. Conduct community sensitization, product presentations, and training sessions for clients and partners to increase awareness and product adoption.
3. Prepare proposals and quotations, manage sales leads, track pipelines, and collaborate with internal teams for smooth client onboarding.
4. Collect and share market insights on trends, customer needs, and competitor activities to aid product development.
5. Achieve individual and team sales targets while maintaining brand values, customer satisfaction, and policy persistency.

1. Hold a minimum of a Diploma in a business-related field; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
2. Possess professional insurance qualifications such as COP/ECOP/Diploma in Insurance (AIIK/CII/LOMA) as an advantage.
3. Demonstrate excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
4. Exhibit strong negotiation and problem-solving capabilities.
5. Have proven experience in community engagement, sales, or field mobilization (an advantage).
6. Be 25 years of age or older.
