Job Description
The Sahl Relationship Manager at KCB Bank Kenya is responsible for overseeing and expanding the bank's Shari'ah compliant portfolio. This includes managing customer relations for both corporate and retail clients, driving sales of Shari'ah compliant products, and cross-selling other banking services to meet set targets. The role also involves collaborating with other relationship teams and the retail branch network to foster business growth, ensuring proper documentation and administration of Shari'ah compliant portfolios, and actively monitoring and managing customer complaints to maintain high service standards. A key aspect is risk management to prevent losses and revenue leakages, alongside training and developing branch staff on Shari'ah banking principles.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead customer relations for both corporate and retail clients.
- Achieve Shari’ah compliant product sales and cross-sales targets.
- Liaise with relationship teams and the retail branch network to grow the business.
- Implement risk management strategies to mitigate losses from frauds and revenue leakages.
- Provide training and development to branch staff.
- Ensure proper documentation and administration of Shari’ah compliant portfolios.
- Manage the PAR (Portfolio at Risk) as per set targets.
- Lead, manage, grow, and maintain the SAHL (Shari’ah Compliant) book.
- Maintain and grow existing SAHL customers through enhanced relationships.
- Achieve set targets for both numbers and values in liabilities and assets.
- Monitor and manage SAHL customer complaints, constantly review service delivery standards, and ensure staff maintain the highest service standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 3 years of general work experience.
- 2 years of experience in Banking Operations.
- 2 years of Sharia banking experience.
- 2 years of experience in Credit.
- 2 years of experience in Sales & Relationships.
- Islamic Banking Certification is an added advantage.
